lost passenger and guide

don't u want to make the mind work alittle before the real lesson begins in university and schools
have this intelligence question

there was a passenger had lost in desert .he was just having 7 pieces of ingot had connected with each other like series and one scissors can just cut 2 time and then it doesn't work.
that passenger found a guide has no money in desert and that guide told the man that he can helping him with passing the desert but he needs 7 days to reach the city
but the guide asked the man one annoying condition else he would leave him alone
that condition is : that guide wants every day JUST one ingot "no more no less"
what can that man do with that 7 pieces of ingot and scissors which just cut 2 times to survive
