Dell inspiron 1525 keyboard problems?

hey i've had my dell inspiron 1525 laptop since December 2009, so it's not too old. however recently, when i press the keys on my Dell inspiron 1525 keyboard nothing appears on the screen. (this mostly happens to the keys in the middle like t r and f) the only way to fix it is to push down really hard on the Dell inspiron 1525 keyboard, even then it sometimes doesn't work.
is there anything to stop this happening? it randomly happens when i turn the PC on, once i've pushed it down so the keys work again it's fine for the whole time i use the laptop which is quite a while.
please don't say you need a new Dell inspiron 1525 keyboard, because i probably don't.

Unfortunately you probably do need one. Keyboards like anything else wear out
and going by what you say it probably is.
The rubber cones under the keys have probably collapsed.
